About LankaShip
Compare Shipping. Save Time. LankaShip helps people and businesses in Sri Lanka find the right way to send a letter or parcel, by showing the price of every service side by side.
Who it's for
- Families sending gifts, documents and parcels to relatives abroad.
- Online sellers and small exporters who need to quote shipping to customers in other countries.
- Anyone sending within Sri Lanka, including cash-on-delivery parcels.
Why we built it
Postage prices in Sri Lanka are spread across gazettes, PDF rate cards and each courier's own calculator. Checking them one by one takes time, and it's easy to miss a cheaper or faster option. We built LankaShip to put those prices in one place, show how they compare, and be clear about where each price comes from.
How the comparison works
- You choose a destination country and the packed weight of your item.
- We look up the price for every service we hold for that route: SL Post's tariffs and the courier prices we have collected.
- Results are listed from cheapest to most expensive, with delivery times, tracking and any limits shown on each row.
Today we cover SL Post (186 countries) and Colombo Mail (30 countries). We plan to add DHL and other couriers. Our rate sources and methodology page explains exactly how each price is worked out and how current it is.
What we are not
LankaShip is an independent comparison service. We are not SL Post, Colombo Mail or any other carrier, and we don't take bookings or payments. When you're ready to send, you book and pay with the carrier directly. Carrier names and logos belong to their owners and are shown only to identify whose prices you're looking at.
